Oktober</a> <a href="1817" title="1817">1817</a> ebenda) war ein schottischer Anatom.

<p>Monro war Professor an der <a href="University_of_Edinburgh" title="University of Edinburgh">University of Edinburgh</a>, wo er ab 1750 Medizin studiert hatte. 1783 wurde er zum Mitglied (<a href="Fellow" title="Fellow">Fellow</a>) der <a href="Royal_Society_of_Edinburgh" title="Royal Society of Edinburgh">Royal Society of Edinburgh</a> gewählt.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>

Ab 1804 war er auswärtiges und ab 1812 Ehrenmitglied der <a href="K%C3%B6niglich-Preu%C3%9Fische_Akademie_der_Wissenschaften" class="mw-redirect" title="Königlich-Preußische Akademie der Wissenschaften">Preußischen Akademie der Wissenschaften</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>
